Paul Enenche’s brothers, another pastor remanded in prison for cyberbullying him

Alexander and Enenche Enenche, who are both brothers of the senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Church, Pastor Paul Enenche, have been remanded at the Keffi Prison in Nasarawa State.

Also remanded with the brothers by the Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja, was Abraham Daniel, a former pastor at the Dunamis church.

The siblings were reportedly taken to the Keffi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on Monday evening following a remand order the Nigerian Police Force secured from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

According to SaharaReporters, upon honouring police invitation, the Enenche brothers as well as Abraham Daniel were kept in the police custody till Monday evening.

Alex Enenche and Daniel were arrested and detained on January 7, 2025, over allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche, but were released the following day (Wednesday) after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.

The Enenches and Abraham Daniel were instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and Monday, January 13, 2025.

It was learnt that on Tuesday, the FID had detained Daniel and Alexander Eneche, following their appearance at the department in response to a police invitation.
A source said when they reported to the Force Headquarters on Monday, they were kept in police custody till the evening when police brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 to remand them in prison.

The source said, “Upon honouring the Police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche and Abraham Daniel were kept in police custody till this evening when police brought a remand order.

“The police claimed to have gotten an Order from the Magistrate Court, Zone 6, Abuja for their remand.

“The name of the Magistrate and number of days they will be detained are not yet known at the moment.

“Currently, the three of them have been taken to Keffi Prison on remand.”

Meanwhile, the source also said that a fundamental rights application would be filed on Tuesday.

“We will likely file fundamental right on this tomorrow,” the source said.
