Ondo State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming November 16 governorship election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reassured residents of his commitment to sustainable development.

Speaking during his campaign tour at Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area, Governor Aiyedatiwa engaged with community stakeholders and addressed a crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

Reflecting on the early legal hurdles faced by the recently established Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), the governor reiterated his unwavering resolve to ensure their functionality, emphasising that these LCDAs were created to bring governance closer to the people.

Addressing infrastructure needs, Aiyedatiwa assured the audience that the ongoing rural-urban road projects would soon extend to their council area.

He also highlighted his administration’s accomplishments and pledged to see all outstanding projects through to completion.

In his remarks, the Jegun Olu-Ekun of Ile-Oluji, Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin, expressed confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s re-election prospects, describing him as divinely appointed to lead the state.

The monarch commended Aiyedatiwa’s significant achievements across various sectors and affirmed the community’s support for his candidacy. Oba Adetimehin also raised key local challenges, such as limited electricity supply and illegal mining, calling for increased government intervention.

In Oke-Igbo, the Regent, Olusola Olufunke Babajide, presented the community’s needs and applauded the governor’s inclusive leadership style. She expressed appreciation for his appointments of area indigenes within his administration.

At Bamikemo, headquarters of the Ile-Oluji West LCDA, the Akemo of Bamikemo land, Isaac Iluyomade Abiola, spoke on behalf of traditional leaders, thanking the governor for establishing the LCDA, which he noted had been critical in addressing the region’s developmental challenges.
