Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has assured the people of Ose Local Government that he will honour his commitments to improving security in the area and completing abandoned road projects.

The governor emphasised that he does not make empty promises and is determined to deliver on his pledges, aiming to enhance the quality of life for all residents during his term in office.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made these remarks on Saturday during his campaign tour of Ose Local Government, where he visited various communities and held discussions with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers.

At the palace of the Alani of Idoani, Oba Major General Olufemi Olutoye, the governor stated that, unlike other candidates who make unfulfilled promises, he believes in taking action and providing good governance.

“We know what the people of this region want even before they ask for it, which is why my Special Adviser on Infrastructure has been tasked to take note of your needs and report back for immediate action.”

Governor Aiyedatiwa vowed to intensify efforts to enhance the state’s infrastructure and complete all unfinished road projects from the previous administration. He also promised to continue addressing the area’s security concerns.

“We understand how important roads, healthcare, and education are to your people. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring no community is left behind. We are ready to serve you better and bring meaningful development to every corner of Ose Local Government,” he added.

He expressed gratitude for their willingness to support him in the upcoming election, assuring them that his administration would remain committed to delivering meaningful progress and sustainable development.

Meanwhile, the Alani of Idoani, Oba Olutoye, and the Onidogun of Idogun, Oba Moses Ekundayo Bakare, urged the government to address the challenges posed by the poor road network in the region. They stressed that the inadequate infrastructure has severely hampered economic activities and access to essential services in their communities.

The monarchs also called for improvements in healthcare facilities, school renovations, and increased political inclusion. They urged the governor to ensure that the people of Ose Local Government are granted more political appointments.

Expressing their confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, the monarchs unanimously endorsed him as the most capable candidate to lead the state. They pledged their unwavering support for his election bid and committed to backing him fully at the polls.

Speaking at the Ose Local Government Secretariat, the Onimoru of Imoru, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to intensify efforts in addressing the region’s security challenges.

The monarch stressed the growing need for enhanced security measures, particularly in rural communities, where residents have been grappling with persistent safety concerns.

“Farming is a major part of our livelihood, but insecurity threatens both farmers and traders who rely on these activities to survive. We need the government to strengthen security in our communities to protect our people and ensure their peace of mind,” Oba Obamuagun said.

Oba Obamuagun expressed optimism that the governor’s intervention would make residents feel more secure and empowered to pursue their livelihoods. He also noted that the people are ready to support the governor’s re-election.

In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the monarch and the people of Ifon, Imoru, and surrounding communities that his administration remains committed to strengthening security efforts throughout the region.

“We are strengthening our security architecture, including the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies, to ensure that our communities remain safe and conducive for business and farming,” the governor stated.

Governor Aiyedatiwa outlined several achievements of his administration, which include consistent payment of workers’ salaries, empowerment programs for artisans and traders, and initiatives aimed at enhancing local businesses and food security.

In expressing his gratitude for the community’s support, the governor stated, “I sincerely appreciate your willingness to stand by us. Together, we can create a safer and more prosperous future for Ose and all of Ondo State.”
