Ondo Election: Aiyedatiwa tours Ese-Odo communities, promises better infrastructure

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday, continued his campaign trail ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election by touring various communities in Ese Odo Local Government. 

During the visit, he engaged with traditional rulers, religious leaders, and residents. The governor was met with a warm and enthusiastic reception from the communities and received the endorsement of key traditional rulers in the local government.

At Bolowo, His Royal Highness, Pere Judge Ugulapelewei Jemine, the Anananawe of Bolowo, welcomed Governor Aiyedatiwa. He praised the governor’s commitment to development across Ondo State, expressing the gratitude of the Bolowo community for his ongoing efforts.

“We are not surprised by the infrastructural progress we see today because we saw it coming. Your administration has always shown a clear commitment to the people, and we are pleased to see those promises materialize.

“We appreciate the appointments of our sons and daughters into political offices. This shows you recognize the value and capabilities within our communities. It makes us proud and strengthens our trust in your leadership.”

He highlighted several pressing issues that demand the government’s immediate attention, with a strong emphasis on improving education and healthcare in the region.

“We offer you our blessings for a victorious outcome in the coming election. Be assured that the people of Bolowo stand firmly with you. You have our total support, and come November 16, our votes will be yours”, the monarch said.

The governor later paid a visit to His Grace, Rt. Rev. Princewill Epistle Jemine (JP), the Miyenkirigbolomowei II and General Overseer of Zion Mission, commending the religious leader for his dedication in sustaining the church since the passing of his father, the former overseer, and for his role in fostering peace within the community.

In response, Rev. Jemine pledged continued prayers from the Zion Mission for the governor’s success in the upcoming November 16 election.

During the event, High Chief Bibopere Ajube, a prominent figure from Ese Odo local government, encouraged residents to stand behind Governor Aiyedatiwa, calling for their support and votes.

The campaign trail also extended to the Arogbo Kingdom, where Governor Aiyedatiwa was blessed by His Imperial Majesty, Pere Z.D. Egbunu Esq (JP), Opukutuk III, the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom.

In Kiribo, the governor was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters. Addressing them, he expressed profound gratitude for their overwhelming support and highlighted the significance of the upcoming election. 

He urged the people to remain steadfast in their commitment to the progress his administration had initiated.

At Igbotu, Governor Aiyedatiwa voiced deep appreciation for the community’s unwavering support and assured them that he would reciprocate their trust with impactful projects and forward-thinking policies.

In Igbobini, where he was met by a large and jubilant crowd, the governor reiterated his promise to continue advancing developmental projects across the state if re-elected. He called on the people to turn out in large numbers on election day, assuring them that their votes would shape the future of the state. He also encouraged his supporters to intensify their house-to-house campaign efforts to secure a decisive victory.

He said: “I want to thank you for your patience, as we gathered here today. I salute your love, unity, and support for us and the party. I’ll reciprocate this gesture after the election. No doubt, we have initiated many projects, and we will do more. Our roads, schools, and hospitals are receiving attention. We have also ensured there is security in the state. 

“We are also employing more teachers in the school. So, come November 16, you must troop out en masse and vote for our party (APC) in the election.”

During each stop, Governor Aiyedatiwa delivered a consistent message of reassurance, reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to addressing the needs of every community.

Throughout the campaign tour, he garnered support and blessings from monarchs, religious leaders, and enthusiastic citizens, including defectors from other parties who pledged their allegiance to the APC.
