In a decisive effort to combat terrorism in Nigeria’s North-East, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has released a fresh list of wanted terrorist leaders.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, made the announcement during a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja.

The list features several high-profile figures accused of masterminding attacks and spreading insecurity across the region.

Major names include Abdurraman, Dadi Gumba (also known as Abbu Muhammel), Usman Kanin Shehu, Abu Yusuf, Abu Khadijah, Musa Wa’a, , Ba Sulhu, Idris Takleksa and Ibrahim Suyeka.

Urging the public to assist in identifying and reporting information about these suspects, Major General Buba highlighted the importance of local community involvement, noting that public cooperation could be crucial in the effort to eliminate terrorist threats.

He stressed that the publication reinforces the government’s determination to enhance security and restore peace in insurgency-affected areas.

The general noted that security forces are stepping up their operations to apprehend these individuals and dismantle the networks fueling violence and instability.
