The police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly defiling a girl aged five years in the Pindiga community in Akko Local Government of in Kebbi State.
According to the command’s spokesperson, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, who disclosed this on Tuesday in Gombe while parading the suspect and others, the suspect lured the victim to his room where he allegedly committed the crime.
The spokesperson said the victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment where a doctor also confirmed that she had been violated.
The PPRO added that the matter was reported on December 15 about 8:30 am against the suspect at Pingiga police station.
He said the suspect had lured the minor to his home and allegedly had sexual intercourse with her.
ASP Abdullahi said, “However, upon receipt of the complaint, the above-mentioned suspect was arrested.
“The victim was rushed to cottage hospital for medical treatment and for doctor’s confirmation.”
The police image maker stated that during the course of investigation, the suspect confessed to the alleged crime and would be charged to court for prosecution.
