Weeks after the release of the famous Nigerian Cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye known as (Bobrisky). The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has started to investigate bribery allegations against its officers from Bobrisky.

From the report gathered from the Nation newspaper, it was made known that Idris Okuneye stated that some officers whose names were not mentioned took N15 Million from him as a bribe to drop the charges of money laundering and abuse of Naira.

The EFCC chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede, set up an investigating Team to carry out an investigation of the allegations.

“To this end, the Commission hereby invites both Okuneye and Otse to make themselves available at its Lagos Directorate to assist investigators unearth the alleged bribery.

“The EFCC wishes to assure the public that the allegations would be thoroughly investigated and the result of the findings made public accordingly.
“The Commission is committed to its core values of integrity, courage, professionalism, and collaboration at all times,” Head of Media & Publicity, Dele Oyewale, he stated.

But, Bobrisky reacted with a post on his Instagram social media handle, claiming that he served his sentence and did not bribe any officer. “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 Million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money is a big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
