Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has claimed that the cabal surrounding President Bola Tinubu is more powerful and dangerous than the one that operated during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, January 7, Dalung described Tinubu’s cabal as highly educated, ambitious, and refined, with a deep understanding of power dynamics, making them adept at manipulating governance and isolating the president.
Dalung compared this to Buhari’s cabal, which he described as less sophisticated and made up of individuals with limited political experience.
He argued that while Buhari’s cabal had narrow, self-serving motives, their influence was limited by their lack of strategic depth.
The former minister also criticised the denial of the cabals’ existence in Nigerian governance, warning that ignoring this political reality would be unfair to future generations.
Dalung questioned whether Tinubu’s administration is fulfilling its constitutional mandate to improve the well-being of citizens, highlighting growing frustration among ordinary Nigerians who are dissatisfied with the government’s policies.
