A former presidential aide, Mr Reno Omokri on Wednesday said the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore lied in his alleged claim that President Bola Tinubu doesn’t shake others with his right hand because it’s bad.
Omokri, in his Facebook page said he was reacting to Sowore’s claim on his Honest Bunch podcast interview that President Tinubu shook him with his left hand because the President’s right hand is bad and can’t be used to shake.
Omokri, who shared three photographs and a video of President Tinubu, where he shook hands recently with him, King Charles III and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said, “If you look at this photograph, you will see President Tinubu shaking me with his right hand. It was actually the President that extended his right hand to me. Out of respect, I waited for him to offer to shake me. I did not initiate it.”
The ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan added: “I have also attached another photo of President Tinubu shaking King Charles III with his right hand.
“Additionally, there is yet a third photo of the President shaking Waziri Atiku Abubakar with his right hand. This photo was taken at the National Mosque in Abuja two weeks ago.
“Omoyele Sowore is a notoriously dishonest and manipulative person. He tells deliberate lies against people he does not like and magnifies those lies via his Sahara Reporters, which is nothing more than a political blackmail publication.”
He concluded: “I met with the President alone for about twenty minutes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his left hand, or any hand for that matter. The man is of a sound mind and body, and Nigerians should disregard the lies told by Omoyele Sowore.”
