President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Super Eagles forward and Atlanta Football Club player, Ademola Lookman, for winning the 2024 CAF Men’s African Footballer of the Year award.

In a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu also commended Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, for winning the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, as well as the Super Falcons for being named the Women’s National Team of the Year.

The awards were presented yesterday night at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.

Describing the footballers as worthy ambassadors of Nigeria, Tinubu praised them for showcasing their talent and bringing honour to the nation both continentally and globally.

He expressed confidence that these accolades from Africa’s highest football authority would inspire aspiring footballers to remain dedicated to achieving their goals.

The President reaffirmed that their determination, discipline, and confidence align with his administration’s commitment to building a Nigeria where everyone can thrive and succeed.
