The Federal Government (FG) under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiative led by Her Excellency Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has inaugurated 20-bed Primary Healthcare Centre in Oreta Community of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Lagos State.

This initiative aims to improve access to essential healthcare services in the community.

In a publication shared on Sunday, it was learnt that the inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday.

Speaking at the event, Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) expressed delight while underscoring the importance of the healthcare development for residents especially for mothers and children.

The SSA to President Bola Tinubu said, “This healthcare centre is a testament to our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our citizens.”

The centre, equipped with essential facilities including a maternity unit, consultation rooms, and a pharmacy, is set to cater to the healthcare needs of over 51 Community Development Associations (CDAs).

During the commissioning, Orelope-Adefulire revealed plans to expand the facility with additional units for immunization, antenatal, gynecology, and postnatal care, alongside a Doctors’ Quarters, security house, and reinforced fencing for enhanced safety.

She reassured the community that government efforts would yield noticeable improvements in 2025, urging patience and support for ongoing reforms.

She also commended the efforts of Bldr. Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, describing him as an invaluable leader in the region.

Daini expressed his appreciation for the federal government’s commitment, highlighting the centre’s potential to transform local healthcare access.

The event drew numerous dignitaries, including His Royal Majesty Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, and other community leaders.

Speakers praised Orelope-Adefulire for her unwavering commitment to grassroots development and called for more initiatives to further enhance the community’s well-being.
