Gospel singer Ebuka Songs has finally broken his silence on why he left Moses Bliss‘ record label, Spotlite Nation, after just 11 months under contract.
His exit sparked speculation, but he remained silent—until now.
Ebuka had signed a three-year contract with Spotlite Nation. However, after just 11 months, he left the label. His sudden exit left many wondering about the reason behind his decision.
In December 2024, Moses Bliss addressed the situation. He stated that Ebuka left to pursue his music career independently. Despite Bliss’ clarification, fans still had questions.
Now, Ebuka has shared his side of the story for the first time. Speaking on the Open Up podcast, he revealed why he made the tough decision to leave.
A call to focus on ministry
Ebuka expressed deep gratitude for Moses Bliss’ impact on his career. He acknowledged that when he joined Spotlite Nation, he had talent and anointing but lacked industry experience.
“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life,” he said. “At that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally.”
Despite his appreciation, he explained that he had to move in a different direction. He felt a strong calling to focus on his ministry. According to him, this was the next step in his spiritual and musical journey.
“I am grateful for the journey I have been through,” he continued. “But now, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space.”
Why he chose silence
Many had wondered why Ebuka did not speak about his exit earlier. He addressed this question directly.
“The reason I kept quiet about my departure was to avoid unnecessary conversations,” he explained. “We all reach a point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives. For me, it was about God’s assignment for my life.”
Ebuka made it clear that his decision was not based on any conflict. Instead, it was a personal choice driven by his faith and calling.
A smooth transition
Despite leaving the label, Ebuka emphasized that there is no bad blood between him and Moses Bliss. He reassured fans that they remain on good terms.
His focus now is on growing his ministry while continuing his music independently. He believes this transition will help him fulfill his purpose and reach more people with his message.
Looking ahead
Ebuka’s departure from Spotlite Nation marks the beginning of a new chapter. With his strong faith and dedication, he remains confident about the future.
Fans can expect more gospel music from him, now under his own direction. While his time with the label was brief, he sees it as an essential part of his growth.
As he embarks on this journey, one thing is certain—Ebuka Songs is determined to make an impact, both in music and ministry.
