Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has candidly shared the reasoning behind her decision to block May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, on various social media platforms.

Ogbodo’s actions followed a distressing incident in which her boutique store was burglarized, an occurrence that she alleges was met with mockery and trolling from May’s fanbase.

The Nation Online in its report stated that these individuals implied that the robbery was a form of “karma” for Ogbodo’s support of Judy Austin, Yul Edochie’s second wife.

In a detailed explanation posted on Instagram, Ogbodo articulated her mounting frustration with May Edochie’s supporters, whom she described as a group that consistently spreads negativity and derision.

Ogbodo made it clear that the decision to sever online ties with May was largely driven by her unwillingness to tolerate what she characterized as toxic behaviour perpetuated by the actress’s followers.

The actress took the opportunity to clarify her belief in the principles of karma, stating emphatically that it does not visit upon those with innocent intentions or pure hearts.

Ogbodo believes that true karmic repercussions are reserved for individuals who choose to engage in spreading malice and ill will.

In an outpouring of emotions reflected in her social media post, Ogbodo expressed her thoughts on the toxicity that has emerged from her experience with May’s fans.

She stated, “Toxic May Edochie fans! Unah go dey Taya ooo. Very, very toxic bunch of lunatics! You people don’t own this social media.” This bold declaration highlights her disdain for the negativity directed at her, insinuating that the harassment she faced from fans does not define the digital space.

Ogbodo did not hold back, reminding critics that regardless of how much toxicity they display, they will never surpass the fervour of Wizkid’s fan club.

“No matter how toxic you get, you can never pass Wizkid’s FC,” she asserted, further emphasizing that social media should be a platform for enjoyment rather than disdain.

She urged her detractors to refrain from watching her content if it elicits such strong negative emotions, reminding everyone that misfortune is an inevitable part of life and that everyone shall have their turn in facing challenges.

Continuing her passionate address, Ogbodo questioned the logic behind the assertion that karmic retribution would befall someone innocent and free from malice. “Singing Karma Karma. Does karma visit an innocent person? Someone whose heart is pure and not ridden with evil? Hell No!” her words resonated, further solidifying her stance on the misplaced notions of karma among her detractors.

She recounted the unfortunate incident involving her stolen goods, expressing her disbelief that such an incident could be viewed as a just consequence for merely minding her own business.

“The real karma is coming to you for being evil and vile towards people,” she asserted.

Ogbodo concluded her statement by elucidating her reasons for blocking May Edochie, citing the persistent harassment from her fans that even extended to interrupting her enjoyment of May’s content.

“I blocked May because you wouldn’t let me like her pictures in peace. And she seems to enjoy the toxicity! So that pisses me off!”

In emphasizing her decision, she drew attention to the detrimental impact that such behaviour has not just on her, but also on the general atmosphere of social media interactions.

As the situation develops, Ogbodo’s candid comments shed light on the growing tension in the entertainment industry and the complex relationships that influence social interactions among public figures.
