The famous Nigerian Gospel musician, Tope Alabi has revealed her plan to add to the growth and success of the upcoming gospel artists by starting a gospel reality show, that is tagged “At Home with Tope Alabi”. Which targets mentoring the Upcoming gospel musicians.
This was made known from the interview she had with “Sunday Scoop” The great musician revealed that this was an order from God “Divine Mandate” that she received years ago.
“I got this message about eight years ago that I should bring young gospel singers together in a retreat and mentor them. In the process of doing that, I will be inviting ministers of God and prominent gospel musicians to join us.
“Essentially, it is all about having a reality retreat/show with a divine purpose to mentor up-and-coming gospel singers with the word of God. We will read the Bible, and you are free to ask questions. You will tell us about your experiences and the seasoned gospel singers and ministers in the house will proffer corrections where necessary.”
She added that it took some time to start the project because of lack of funds. “I discovered that people are not enthusiastic about sponsoring anything that has to do with gospel, and it is not easy for me to do it alone in terms of funding. I intend to make it an annual event if there is funding for it.” she reveals.
She however mentioned the names of the frontierspersons for the first edition in the likes of, Baba Ayewa (Adelakun), Toun Soetan, TY Bello, and Dupe Solana.
