The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has addressed the ongoing investigation involving Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as Seaking303.
This follows the circulation of a video in which Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye appeared to advocate for his release.
In a statement, the church emphasized that it does not seek to interfere with legal proceedings. It reaffirmed its respect for due process and the rule of law. RCCG clarified that its position should not be misinterpreted as an attempt to obstruct justice.
Call for fair and thorough investigation
The church noted that previous videos containing possibly defamatory remarks had not been properly reviewed before conclusions were drawn.
It stressed the need for a thorough examination of all evidence. RCCG acknowledged that the Concerned Christian Youth Forum had formally complained to Seaking303 and others.
This complaint, filed on behalf of the Fathers of Faith—including Pastor Adeboye—calls for accountability.
Pastor Adeboye, known for his message of love and reconciliation, continues to advocate for peace.
However, the church urged authorities to ensure a fair and impartial investigation. It also condemned any attempts to use the case to spread misinformation.
RCCG warns against cyberbullying
RCCG issued a strong warning against cyberbullying, particularly online attacks against Pastor Adeboye, the church, or Christianity in general. It stressed the importance of respectful discussions, urging social media users to avoid inflammatory comments.

The church reiterated its commitment to upholding a culture of honour. It encouraged the public to engage in constructive dialogue, avoiding defamatory statements against spiritual leaders. RCCG called for conversations that foster understanding rather than division.

As the investigation unfolds, the church pledged to remain steadfast in its values. It urged the public to allow the legal system to function without undue influence. RCCG reaffirmed its stance on justice, fairness, and respect, emphasizing that integrity should guide all discussions.
