Kira Taiwo, daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has opened up about why she has preferred to focus on skit-making rather than pursuing a full-time acting career. The actress and content creator disclosed that the inappropriate demands of some movie directors have influenced her decision.

According to Kira, many directors request sexual favours in exchange for roles, a practice she refuses to engage in. Despite being the daughter of a respected industry icon, she admitted that she has not been unsusceptible to such advances.

As a result, Kira, a mother of one, has shifted her attention to making skits, where she maintains full control of her work and avoids compromising situations.

“I don’t receive movie scripts unless it’s for my dad’s films. The Yoruba movie industry can be tough, and for some people, you have to compromise to get ahead.
I’m not interested in that. This generation is wild; people don’t care. All they want is to succeed, and I don’t want anyone telling me they made me,” she stated.
“I will go slow and steady the way the Lord gives me. I don’t want to get to the top and someone tells me did I not sleep with you till you got to the top.”

Regarding her father’s support, she disclosed, “My dad is the best, and I’m so grateful he’s mine. Despite his busy schedule, he always finds time to help with my content whenever I need him.”
