Controversial social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan or VDM has claimed that Naira Marley owed his late label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad a substantial amount of money.
Disclosing this during a recent live-stream session on TikTok, VeryDarkMan said Naira Marley admitted that he owed Mohbad money before his sudden death.
VDM added that he was bothered that Naira Marley did not come out to defend himself in public since he has evidence and the business side of his dealings with Mohbad.
VDM said, “What is crazy is that the guy has his own evidence, and I asked Naira Marley, ‘Why are you not coming to the public? Sit down, show them your own evidence and the business side of everything.’
”He clearly owed the boy some money, and he told me how much he owed him and it wasn’t small money. He told me how much he was meant to give the boy and that caused their problem.”
Naira Marley and his former signee had a really tense relationship, which started when Mohbad sought to switch managers.
“He said he (Marley) signed Mohbad and Mohbad started taking gigs outside and wasn’t paying the label. His wanting to change his manager was the genesis of the whole problem,” he added.
