My father-in-law wants Mohbad’s properties, in competition with Liam – Omowunmi alleges

For the first time since the passing of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, his wife, Omowunmi Aloba, has broken her silence.

In an exclusive interview on “Chudeity”, she detailed the harassment and intimidation she and her son, Liam, have faced since Mohbad’s death.

Omowunmi revealed that the bullying her husband endured did not end with his passing. Instead, it has now shifted toward their young son.

She expressed deep concern over the relentless pressure and threats, describing the situation as a continuous cycle of intimidation.

Omowunmi made several disturbing claims. She alleged that members of Mohbad’s family and industry figures, including her father-in-law and singer Naira Marley, have continued to make her life difficult. She also accused her late husband’s brother of preparing his final meal, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

She further claimed that there has been undue competition over Liam’s inheritance. According to her, some family members have pressured her to hand over properties linked to Mohbad, including land meant for their son. She also disclosed that she and Mohbad had been encouraged to get married due to external pressures.

Controversy surrounding Mohbad’s burial

One of Omowunmi’s most shocking revelations was that she was not informed about her husband’s burial. She accused her father-in-law of making the decision without her knowledge, which later complicated the autopsy process. According to her, the rushed burial played a role in the inconclusive results of the examination.

She also alleged that there were attempts to kidnap Liam, further heightening her fears for their safety.

The role of the nurse

The singer’s wife mentioned a nurse who was involved in Mohbad’s case. She claimed that the nurse had narrated everything that happened before her husband’s death but was later dismissed from the situation. According to her, the dismissal raised suspicions about whether there was an effort to cover up key details.

Threats and poisoning attempts

Beyond intimidation, the wife claimed that her life has been in danger. She said she has received multiple death threats and even faced attempts to poison her. The ongoing threats, she said, have left her in a state of fear and uncertainty.

DNA test controversy

Amid ongoing public speculation about the paternity of her son, Omowunmi addressed why a DNA test has not yet been conducted. While she did not rule it out, she explained that the current circumstances have made it difficult to proceed. She emphasized that her priority remains the safety of her son and herself.
