In a spectacular showcase of cinematic talent, the Netflix Original Yoruba film “Jagun Jagun,” featuring renowned actor Femi Adebayo, triumphed at the2024 Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), securing victories in an impressive six categories.
This epic film has been honoured with awards for Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor, Best Production Design, Best Special Effect, Best Costume, and the prestigious Director of the Year title.
The 16th edition of the BON Awards took place at the extravagant Sugar Factory Film Studios on a glittering Sunday night in Ilorin, Kwara State, with the ever-charismatic Toyin Abraham assuming the role of host for the evening.
“Jagun Jagun” stood out in a competitive field, having garnered 12 nominations in total, showcasing its exceptional storytelling, production quality, and outstanding performances.
The movie’s success not only highlights its cultural significance but also marks a significant milestone in the representation of Yoruba cinema on a global platform.
