American rapper Curtis James Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent has told those who care to listen that he rejected the sum of $3 million to perform at Donald Trump’s rally.

The 49-year-old claimed he is “afraid of politics” and turned down an invitation to attend the Republican National Convention, which was held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

In an interview with IHeartRadio’s The Breakfast Club, he also stated that he “didn’t even talk to them” about attending the convention since he wasn’t interested.

He told the show: “I got a call, they wanted me for Sunday, and they offered me three million dollars for this past Sunday.”

The rapper said that he was asked to perform at the Republican National Convention but he was not interested in continuing with negotiations because he does not like politics.

He said; “Yeah, I didn’t even go far back, I didn’t even talk to them about that kind of stuff. I’m afraid of politics. I do not like politics.

“It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
