Once again, the culinary genius, Hilda Baci, has graced us with her presence and the largest pot of jollof rice. Teaming up with Gino Naija, she basically created a national monument out of rice, tomatoes, and a whole lot of spice. It’s a wonder the entire country didn’t just levitate from the delicious aroma.
But Hilda wasn’t alone in this grand jollof escapade. A brigade of Nigerian celebrities, dressed in matching ‘Hilda Baci” fan gear, showed up to provide moral support, good vibes, and probably a few selfies. Here’s a look at the famous faces who witnessed history (and maybe got a taste of the leftovers):
Funke Akindele

The legendary actress, Funke Akindele, swapped her acting scripts for a spatula and went full-on jollof mode. Not only did she cheer on Hilda, but she also jumped in to help with the task of turning the rice. We’re pretty sure she whispered some motivational words to the grains to ensure they cooked perfectly. She rocked the Hilda Baci merch and a chic pink bag, proving you can save the world one pot of jollof at a time while still looking fabulous.
If there’s a world record being broken, you can bet Enioluwa will be there. The official cheerleader of all things Hilda Baci, he was on a mission to host, hype, and hand out flowers. We’re still unsure whether he was more excited about the event or the opportunity to take rice home in coolers. He and his cousin, Tomike, made sure the crowd was as fired up as the rice pot.
Tomike
Before the official news broke, Tomike Adeoye was already a one-woman news crew, sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes moments on her Instagram. She was on “hosting duties,” which, in this case, meant she was the hype person’s hype person, making sure everyone knew they were witnessing something truly magnificent. We salute her for giving us a front-row seat to the jollof revolution.
Veekee James
Celebrity designer Veekee James proved that fashion and food can coexist in perfect harmony. Donning the official Hilda Baci mesh, she was spotted on stage, vibing with the other celebs. She probably mentally designed an entire collection inspired by the colors and textures of jollof rice while waiting for it to cook. Because who says you can’t be a fashion icon and a fan of a huge pot of rice?
