Versatile Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji has celebrated his former wife and mother of his twins, Bukola Awoyemi, professionally called Arugba, as she turns a year older on Thursday.
Taking to his Instagram page to celebrate her on her special day, Damola, as usual, sent her positive vibes.
He wrote;
”Happiest birthday OLUWABUKOLA GRACE OMO AWOYEMI. Sending you positive energy and good vibes on your special day. Happy Birthday ANIKE (mama ibeji Taiwo and Kehinde OLATUNJI.)
The famous couple, who separated in May 2023, have, however, remained friends and have been in constant contact, apparently because of their twin children.
Announcing their separation via her Instagram page on May 20, 2023, the actress claimed that she has never been married to the actor (Damola Olatunji.)
The mother of two, in a statement signed by her lawyer, Samuel Abimbola, also noted that they have both agreed to jointly ensure that their children’s welfare is guaranteed.
The lawyer wrote, “Please NOTE that our client, Bukola Awoyemi and Mr. Damola Olatunji are no longer an item. They have parted ways and this is without any hard feelings or ill will. They are blessed with two lovely kids (twins) but have never been married to each other.
“They have both agreed to jointly ensure that the wellbeing and welfare of their two children is guaranteed.
“Our client wishes Mr. Damola Olatunji God’s continued blessings.Thank you.”
Recall that the actress had months earlier moved out of the actor’s house over alleged infidelity, a rumour denied by the actor.
However, the couple have continued to show profuse love to each other at every birthdays and celebrations despite their separation.
When Bukola was involved in a auto accident earlier this year, Damola was on social media everyday praying for her quick recovery, sparking rumours of an imminent reconcilliation between the former lovebirds, a wish that has, however, not come to come to pass to the dismay of fans and admirers.
