Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding his wife, Kassia’s, family’s dissatisfaction with their management’s decision during the recently concluded reality show.
Kellyrae, who competed alongside Kassia, found himself at the center of criticism from his in-laws after their joint management team chose to prioritize his progress over hers once the pair were forced to compete individually.

We are one team, and whatever benefits me ultimately benefits us as a couple. The management saw that I had a higher chance of winning and decided to back me. It was a strategic move, and it paid off. I won, and that’s a win for both of us.”
He went on to emphasize that while he respects his in-laws’ opinions, they should recognize that his success directly impacts Kassia’s well-being and future. “I love my wife, and everything I do is for our growth as a couple.
The show is just one phase, and we have so much more to achieve together. Our management’s decision wasn’t about choosing me over her; it was about maximizing our chances of succeeding in the competition, and they did what was best for us,” Kellyrae added.
