The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has completed the registration process for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with over two million candidates set to participate in the exam scheduled for April.

According to JAMB’s latest bulletin, as of March 8, 2025, a total of 2,030,627 candidates successfully registered.

This figure does not include those who enrolled at international examination centres.

The registration exercise, which began on February 3, 2025, also saw 200,115 candidates opting for the optional mock UTME, which is set to take place on April 5, 2025.

Among them, 630 candidates signed up for an additional trial mock examination scheduled for the same day.

With registration now closed, JAMB is shifting its attention to examination security.

The Board has introduced new anti-malpractice measures to uphold the integrity of the test, resulting in the recent arrest of several individuals attempting to use fraudulent A-level results.

JAMB has warned candidates against any form of cheating, stressing that strict monitoring mechanisms are in place to detect and penalize violations.

The Board also reminded candidates and stakeholders that UTME registration is independent of secondary school examinations like WAEC and NECO.

It urged everyone involved to follow proper registration guidelines to avoid complications.
