Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a private visit to former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, at his hilltop residence in Minna, the Niger State capital.
Obasanjo was said to have held a closed-door meeting with Babangida that lasted about 30 minutes before leaving for the airport.

Sources familiar with the visit said the meeting was not unconnected with national political developments, including discussions around the 2027 general elections.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Obasanjo nor Babangida had issued an official statement on the outcome of the meeting.
It was gathered that Obasanjo was accompanied from the Ahmed Bola Tinubu International Airport, Minna, to Babangida’s residence by officials of the Government House protocol.
The visit comes amid recent political engagements by the former president, who was reported to have hosted opposition political party leaders at his Abeokuta residence in Ogun State.
