Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has threatened legal action against online trolls and platforms she accused of spreading false reports about her and her family.
The actress issued the warning on Monday while reacting to the release of TikTok content creator and blogger Eedie Bliss, who had alleged that Johnson’s husband bought a mansion for a mistress who became pregnant for him.
New Daily Prime recalls that Eedie Bliss was released from detention on Saturday, January 17, 2026, following public outcry over her arrest.

Addressing the issue for the first time, Mercy Johnson, in a video shared on her Instagram page, disclosed that she and her family decided to withdraw the charges against the blogger out of consideration for those who intervened on her behalf.
“We have decided to withdraw the charges against the lady in question because of the love and respect we have for numerous individuals that reached out,” the actress said.
However, Johnson made it clear that she would no longer tolerate false rumours and defamatory reports in 2026. She warned that online harassment and the spread of fake news about her family would now be met with legal consequences.
“It’s no longer going to be business as usual for online trolls and platforms sharing false rumours against me and my family,” she stated.
Thanking her fans for their continued support, the actress added that part of her plans for the new year includes taking decisive legal action against individuals who persist in spreading falsehoods about her private life.
“Some people just won’t leave me and my family alone, and court cases are going to be part of my plans this year,” she said.
