Popular Nigerian reality star and comedian DeeOne has called on the Federal Government to investigate the financial management of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) operating in the country.
The entertainer made the call in a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday, where he raised concerns about what he described as unlawful activities involving some NGOs.
According to DeeOne, certain NGOs are allegedly being used as fronts to fund terrorism, kidnapping, human trafficking, and other criminal activities, urging authorities to take urgent action.

“Federal government of Nigeria, please investigate all the NGOs accounts in the country. A lot of them are being used to sponsor terrorism, kidnappers, child trafficking sponsorship, and even human harvesting,” he said.
The comedian further alleged that some individuals exploit humanitarian efforts for personal gain, claiming that rescuing people has become a pathway for opening NGOs and amassing wealth illegally.
“In Nigeria today, if somebody rescues somebody, the next thing the person does is open an NGO, and suddenly they become a multi-millionaire,” he stated.
While acknowledging that running NGOs should not prevent individuals from earning legitimately, DeeOne stressed that such earnings must not come at the expense of human lives.
“We’re not saying you should not make money, but it has to be legit, not at the expense of people’s lives,” he added.
