Popular skit maker and streamer Carter Efe has revealed that he separated from his baby mama, Emmanuella, more than a year ago, describing the breakup as a turning point in his personal and professional life.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram page, Efe said the relationship had taken a heavy toll on his mental health, finances, and creativity, leaving him unable to think clearly or create content consistently for a long period.
According to the entertainer, the experience was harrowing because it kept him away from his child, Charis, for several months.

He disclosed that there was a time he did not see his child for about three months, a situation he said deeply affected him but did not stop his determination to keep pushing forward.
“For a good two years, I lost everything. I lost my mindset, I couldn’t think or shoot content, and I went broke,” he wrote.
Efe also claimed that the situation contributed to online controversies that negatively affected his image, adding that the pressure further destabilised his life during that period.
Despite the challenges, the streamer said separating from the relationship marked the beginning of his recovery. He attributed his recent growth, happiness, and increased visibility in the streaming space to the decision to move on.
“These days you’ve noticed that I’ve been more active and happy. It’s because I was able to move away,” he stated, noting that his career has since experienced a significant turnaround.
Expressing gratitude, Carter Efe said he is now in a better emotional and professional place, thanking God for helping him rebuild his life and regain focus.
He concluded by hinting that his success as one of Africa’s biggest streamers came after the separation, reinforcing his belief that the decision ultimately worked in his favour.
