Manchester City have completed the signing of forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in a deal worth £64 million.
According to SkySports,the 26-year-old has agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Pep Guardiola’s side, with an official announcement expected on Friday. The transfer takes City’s spending over the past 12 months to £425.9 million across 14 signings.
City negotiated a fee below Semenyo’s £65 million release clause, agreeing to pay £62.5 million upfront, with an additional £1.5 million in performance-related bonuses and a 10 per cent sell-on clause included in the agreement.

Semenyo attracted strong interest from several Premier League rivals, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham, but City ultimately won the race for his signature.
During his time at Bournemouth, Antoine Semenyo scored a total of thirty goals and provided ten assists, giving him forty direct goal contributions and placing him joint fourth in the club’s Premier League history.
In the 2025–26 season alone, he had already scored nine league goals and recorded three assists before his transfer to Manchester City, with these statistics covering all competitions up to early January.
Manchester City have spent heavily to strengthen their squad. In January 2025, they signed Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, Omar Marmoush, and Nico Gonzalez, with Christian McFarlane and Juma Bah also joining for undisclosed fees.
The summer of 2025 saw further reinforcements, including Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait Nouri, Rayan Cherki, James Trafford, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Sverre Nypan, alongside Marcus Bettinelli for an undisclosed fee. Most recently, in January 2026, Antoine Semenyo joined from Bournemouth for sixty-four million pounds.
