The Bauchi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has launched an aggressive membership drive and grassroots mobilisation campaign, with the explicit aim of dislodging the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after a stakeholders’ meeting in Bauchi yesterday, the Chairman of the ADC State Forum and spokesperson for the stakeholders Abubakar Bibi announced that the party is intensifying engagements in urban and rural communities.

The initiative focuses on registering new members, addressing residents’ concerns, and promoting the ADC’s vision of good governance and inclusive policies.
“The turnout of people joining the party in Bauchi State is very encouraging. The ADC is working silently but strategically to take over power come 2027,” Bibi declared.
“We are doing everything possible to chase the PDP out of power in Bauchi State, and by the grace of God, we will succeed.”
Bibi positioned the ADC as a credible alternative to the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he accused of decades of failed leadership.
He highlighted severe shortcomings in the education sector, noting that some primary schools with over 400 pupils have only two teachers, alongside challenges in other key areas.
He further criticised the PDP-led administration under Governor Bala Mohammed as being dominated by a small clique, describing it as a “family-and-friends affair”.
“The people of Bauchi are tired of failed leadership,” Bibi said, expressing confidence in the party’s growth amid public dissatisfaction.

The party has also resolved a recent internal leadership dispute. A committee has been established to authenticate the party’s structure from ward to local government levels across the state’s 20 local government areas.
Bibi concluded with a bold prediction: “By God’s grace, come 29 May 2027, we will invite you to the swearing-in ceremony of an ADC governor in Bauchi State.”
