Cold temperatures are expected to continue after Boxing Day, with a yellow cold health alert still in place for parts of the UK.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said the alert will remain active until noon on 27 December for southwest England.
The agency warned that the cold could have minor impacts on health and social care services, particularly for vulnerable people who may need more medical support and face higher health risks.
The warning comes as police continue to urge people not to swim in the sea. Two men, aged in their 40s and 60s, are still missing after getting into difficulty off the coast of Devon on Christmas Day.
Met Office meteorologist Zoe Hutin said Boxing Day would bring some sunshine for many areas, with cloud and light rain mainly in the south and northwest. She said it would be breezy but less windy than Christmas Day.
Temperatures are expected to reach between 6°C and 7°C, though it may feel closer to 4°C or 5°C in the south. Ms Hutin said there is a very low chance of snow.
Similar weather is forecast for Saturday and Sunday, with occasional drizzle where cloud is thicker and continued breezy conditions. Temperatures are expected to stay around average.
Ms Hutin said the conditions would be suitable for people planning outdoor walks during the holiday period.
Emergency services were called to Budleigh Salterton at about 10.25am on Christmas Day following reports of people in the water. The search for the two missing men is ongoing.
Detective Superintendent Hayley Costar of Devon and Cornwall Police said several organised and informal swims had already been cancelled due to weather conditions. Although there are no official warnings in place for Boxing Day, she urged people not to swim in the sea.
