Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has appealed to Nigerians to forgive him and his family following the recent drama surrounding his marriage to his wife, Natasha.
The singer made the plea during a live performance, where he addressed the growing concerns and public reactions to the couple’s challenges.
The controversy began after a video surfaced online showing the singer being arrested in the United Kingdom.

Shortly after, he and Natasha were seen engaging in a heated argument during a live television appearance, an exchange that quickly spread across social media and attracted intense criticism from fans and observers.
The incidents triggered widespread speculation about the state of their marriage, with many Nigerians sharing strong opinions on the matter.
While some expressed sympathy, others condemned the couple for bringing their private disputes into the public space.
Speaking to fans from the stage, 2Baba asked for understanding and compassion as he and his family work through their issues.
“Make una no vex again. Make una forgive me and my family and everybody,” he said, stressing that he wanted peace for his home and relief from the pressure of public scrutiny.
He also reminded the public that disagreements are a normal part of relationships, including marriages.
According to him, what matters most is the effort that both partners put into resolving their problems privately and respectfully.
The singer added that he was taking the necessary steps to address the ongoing situation and protect the image and dignity of his family.
Earlier, 2Baba had urged Nigerians to stop attacking Natasha, noting that harsh words and online insults only worsen an already sensitive situation.
He emphasised that nobody truly understands what couples face behind closed doors, and he encouraged fans to show empathy rather than judgement.
His statement followed waves of online backlash directed at Natasha after the viral clips. Many critics blamed her for the unfolding drama, while others accused the singer of not handling the situation properly.
The couple’s high-profile status contributed to the heightened attention, with every development being closely watched and discussed across social media platforms.
