The Rivers State Police Command has vowed to arrest fleeing cultist suspects linked to the abduction of five Rivers State University students following their rescue.
Recalled that on Tuesday New Daily Prime reported that suspected cultists invaded the residence of the rescued abductee students in the Rumuche/Rumuohia Community, Emohua Local Government Area of the state, to their hideout.

According to the document released to journalists, the Command’s spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, disclosed that at 0100 hrs on Thursday, the five victims, Prince London ‘M’, Azubuike Kelechukwu ‘M’, Elizabeth Aniete ‘F’, Onyebuchi Precious ‘M’, and London Sampson ‘M’, were rescued unhurt.
It was noted the Command, with the collaboration and support from other sister security agencies and with the support of the community, made the operation successful.
However, the five victims rescued have been taken to the hospital for a medical examination.
“Intensive efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing cultists/abductors,” the notice indicated.
The Commissioner of Police (CP) Olugbenga Adepoju vowed to bring the perpetrators to face the full wrath of the law and pledge his continued collaboration with other security agencies.
“The community and the general public, while assuring residents to go about their lawful businesses without fear because their safety is our priority, ” he urged.
