The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled Deputy Chairman Ahmed Mustapha and eight senior members in a move to preserve unity and integrity.
The State Executive Committee (SEC) unanimously approved the action during a Kaduna meeting on 22 October 2025, citing gross misconduct that eroded trust among dedicated supporters.
Accusations levelled against the ADC chieftains include insubordination, secret meetings to undermine leadership, document falsification, and extorting members betrayals that struck at the heart of a party built on shared dreams for change.
Expelled alongside Mustapha are State Publicity Secretary Idris Musa, Vice Chairman Zone 1 Sulaiman Abdullahi, Treasurer Gambo Sani, Financial Secretary Magaji Maiwada, Legal Adviser Danlami Dabai Musa, PWD Coordinator Saura Muhammed, Deputy Youth Leader Ibrahim Muhammed, and Mansur Gaga.
Elder Patrick Ambut, the party state chairman, addressed the press, saying, “we’re upholding our constitution to protect our party’s soul,” he said.
Ambut condemned Mustapha’s overreach as an abuse of office, aimed at fracturing the North-West zone.
“He lacked authority for those directives it’s a breach that wounds us all,” Ambut added, echoing the pain of broken camaraderie.
