Big Brother Naija Season 10 runner-up, Dede, has opened up about why she cannot pursue a romantic relationship with her fellow ex-housemate, Kola, despite their closeness during the show.
New Daily Prime reports that Dede and Kola had a complicated relationship throughout the “10/10” season, with Kola persistently expressing romantic interest even after Dede clarified that she was already in a committed relationship outside the house.
In a post-show interview with the reality show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Dede admitted that while she holds Kola in high regard, her feelings for him do not extend beyond friendship.

“I do like Kola, but it is not enough for a relationship. I do like him. He is an amazing person. I would always sing his praise regardless of what it is. But it’s not enough for what we thought it is,” she explained.
Dede further disclosed that her connection with Kola lost its spark at some point during the show, leading to emotional distance between them. “I got bored with the whole situation at some point. It was just not working anymore,” she confessed.
Throughout the season, fans closely followed the pair’s on-screen chemistry, with many speculating that their bond could evolve into a genuine relationship outside the house.
Their moments, ranging from playful banter to emotional conversations, became some of the most talked-about highlights of the “10/10” edition.
Despite her decision, the former BBNaija housemate expressed gratitude for the friendship they built, stating that she has no regrets about how things unfolded. Her candid revelation has earned praise from fans who appreciate her honesty and maturity in handling post-show relationships.
