President Bola Tinubu extended heartfelt congratulations to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as he marked his 60th birthday.
In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu lauded the speaker for his exemplary leadership and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s legislative agenda.
Describing Abbas as a “worthy partner” in government, President Tinubu highlighted the Speaker’s pivotal role in driving the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Under Abbas’s leadership, the House of Representatives has successfully passed numerous impactful pieces of legislation, reflecting his deep knowledge, wisdom, and openness.”
Tinubu praised the speaker’s ability to foster stability within the House, noting his “uncommon capacity as a leader of equals” and his dedication to integrity, excellence, and selfless service.
The President also acknowledged Abbas’s long-standing service to the people of Zaria Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, who have elected him to represent them in the House since 2011.
“I rejoice with the family, friends, and associates of this fine lawmaker and leader of men on this milestone,” Tinubu remarked, extending his congratulations to the constituents of Zaria for their discerning choice in leadership.
As Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Abbas has demonstrated a collaborative spirit, working closely with the executive to advance Nigeria’s development goals.
President Tinubu concluded his message by praying for the Speaker’s continued good health and many more years of impactful service.
