The Lagos State Government has announced the appointment of popular content creator Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, widely known as Mandy Kiss, as an Ambassador of the Lagos State Kicks Against Drug Abuse (LASKADA) initiative.
The development comes after Mandy Kiss publicly declared her intention to pursue a Guinness World Record attempt that, according to state officials, “did not align with societal values or reflect the standards we uphold as a people and State.”
In a statement highlighting the Sanwo-Olu-led administration’s commitment to youth engagement and mental health, government representatives revealed that they held candid discussions with Mandykiss following her announcement.
The talks, they said, were aimed at redirecting her energy into more constructive causes.
“We recognise the importance of mental health and emotional wellness, and we’re steadfast in our commitment to promoting these,” the statement read. “Mandy Kiss wields significant influence among young people, our future leaders, and it’s vital that she be guided rather than dismissed.”

Instead of proceeding with the controversial record attempt, Mandy Kiss has now embraced what the government describes as a “purpose-driven cause.”
Through her new ambassadorial role with LASKADA, she will partner with Lagos State in raising awareness about drug abuse and substance misuse among youths.
Officials framed the appointment as a success story of transformation rather than cancellation, emphasizing that compassion and guidance can redirect youthful potential towards meaningful impact.
Mandy Kiss, who commands a large following on social media, is expected to leverage her influence in promoting healthier lifestyles among young Nigerians, underscoring the state’s approach to combining responsibility with empathy in governance.
