US rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was jailed two weeks ago for sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping, has been removed from suicide watch.
According to Fox News Digital, on September 29, 2024, the musician was relieved of the extra surveillance and allowed to accept visits from his family members.
More than a week ago, Combs, 54, was placed on routine suicide watch, which is standard procedure for high-profile persons admitted to a federal institution.
American rapper Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, was arrested by law enforcement on Monday, September 16, 2024, and charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering.
During his court appearance, prosecutors accused the rapper of conducting a criminal enterprise since at least 2008 that utilised narcotics and violence to force women to “fulfil his sexual desires.”
Diddy’s lawyers had filed a $50 million bail offer with the federal court, and according to the filings, Diddy offered his $48 million mansion on Miami’s Star Island, as collateral, along with his mother’s Miami, to cover the remaining $2 million. However, the judge denied his request for bond because he was deemed a flight risk.
Diddy’s lawyers also requested a home arrest with the stipulation of ‘no female visitors’, which the judge denied.
