Global rap icon Nicki Minaj has firmly denied widespread rumours suggesting she is facing financial troubles.
The speculation began after she publicly called out billionaire music mogul Jay-Z over an alleged $200 million debt. Some fans and online users quickly jumped to conclusions, claiming that the Grammy-nominated rapper had gone “broke,” especially after completing her recent world tour.
However, in a fiery response shared on social media, Minaj shut down the claims and gave fans a glimpse into her thriving financial status.
The controversy started when Minaj made headlines for a bold comment aimed at Jay-Z, sparking debates across social media platforms.
Shortly afterwards, some online users suggested that the rapper’s finances were in bad shape, with one fan hinting that she may have used up all her funds during her high-budget tour.
A curious follower questioned her silence on the issue. The fan tweeted, “There was a tweet about you having nothing left after your tour. You didn’t quote that to say it was a lie, though.”
The comment caught Minaj’s attention, and she wasted no time in clearing the air.
Minaj fires back
Responding with confidence and sarcasm, Minaj said her wealth is not only intact but growing. She revealed that she is in the process of buying another mansion, her third in just two years.
“Buying another mansion as we speak,” she wrote. “It would be the 3rd in 2 years. That’s besides the property I bought for others for 15 years. Catch up, ugly.”
The rapper explained that if she ever wanted to cash in quickly, all she would need to do is release a new album.
“If tomorrow I wake up and want maybe 20–30 million dollars, all I have to do is hand in my album, silly wabbit,” she added. “Then I’d tour again and gross over a hundred [million].”
She ended her post with a reminder of her status and power in the music industry. “Do you realise this is Nicki Minaj? It’s just projection from Bot Nation, it seems. Justice for Demoree.”
Minaj didn’t stop there. In a separate post, she revealed another major purchase: her first private jet. And in true Nicki fashion, it’s completely pink.
“Just bought my first jet. It’s all pink,” she wrote. “Come on, losers, get in! Sike. Fly Barbz only.”
The statement served not only as a flashy display of wealth but also as a jab at critics who continue to doubt her financial stability or career longevity.
Fans react
While some critics remained sceptical, many of her loyal fans, fondly known as the Barbz, celebrated the news with excitement. They praised the rapper for standing up to false claims and flaunting her success on her terms.
Minaj’s confidence, business sense, and star power have long made her a force in the entertainment industry. With chart-topping hits, sold-out tours, and a strong global fanbase, she continues to prove that she’s far from fading out.
Over the years, Minaj has diversified her income beyond music. From fashion partnerships to brand endorsements and real estate investments, she has built a financial empire that many admire.
The rapper’s recent online statements have put an end to the bankruptcy rumours, at least for now. With a new mansion on the way and a pink private jet already secured, Nicki Minaj is sending a clear message: she’s not only thriving, but she’s also flying high.
