Rivers State Government has promised to support survivors of the January 4 gas explosion with quality healthcare services.
This commitment was made known on Thursday after the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Odu, visited the survivors at the Rivers State Government Hospital (RSGH) on Wednesday.
The Deputy Governor shared sadness after hearing of the death of three persons.
Unfortunately, three lives were lost out of 18 people affected by the gas explosion; a father, who was a cell phone repairer, and his daughter lost their lives at the hospital.

Others included nine Jehovah’s Witness community members who went to visit their member.
The remaining survivors are receiving treatment at the state hospital.
During the visitation, Professor Odu was accompanied by the Commissioner for Health, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, among others.
