Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has emphasised that with the completion of the electoral process that confirmed him as the returning governor, his focus is now firmly on governance.
He made this statement as he and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, were warmly welcomed at the Akure Airport on Thursday, following their return from Abuja.
The duo had just collected their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after emerging victorious in last Saturday’s governorship election.
The atmosphere at the airport was nothing short of festive, with jubilant supporters singing, dancing, and continuing the celebrations of their candidate’s win.
In his address, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed heartfelt gratitude to his supporters, emphasising that the victory belonged not just to him, but to the people of the state.

“I am still very overwhelmed with joy and I appreciate God Almighty who made it possible. I also thank the people of Ondo State who have renewed this mandate through their votes.
“We will put the people’s interest first in any policy we make,” Aiyedatiwa assured.
He called on the people of the state to continue their support, promising to double efforts in improving the lives of residents and ensuring the development of all sectors across the state.
