Dozens of people were injured and several homes damaged after Iran launched a barrage of missiles that struck northern Israel in the early hours of Friday, according to Israeli emergency officials and local media reports.
Missiles fired from Iran hit residential areas in the village of Zarzir near Nazareth, causing significant damage to buildings and forcing emergency crews to rush victims to hospital.
Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, said more than 50 people received medical treatment following the attack. Many of the injured were evacuated from damaged homes as rescue teams searched through debris in affected neighbourhoods.

Local media, including The Times of Israel and Israel National News, reported that the missile strikes caused extensive structural damage to several houses in the northern village.
Emergency responders said some residents were treated for injuries caused by falling debris, while others were taken to hospital suffering from shock and blast-related wounds.
The attack forms part of an escalating exchange of strikes between Iran and Israel amid the broader regional conflict that has intensified in recent weeks.
Residents in northern Israel reported hearing multiple explosions shortly after air raid sirens sounded across the region during the night. Israeli air defence systems were activated in response to the incoming missiles, though some projectiles managed to strike populated areas.
Images circulating on local media showed shattered windows, collapsed walls and emergency crews working through the wreckage of damaged homes in Zarzir.
Authorities have not yet released a full assessment of the damage, but rescue teams continued searching affected buildings early Friday morning to ensure no residents were trapped inside.
The missile barrage is one of the latest in a series of Iranian strikes targeting Israeli territory as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
Israeli officials have not yet confirmed whether the military plans a further response to the latest attack, but analysts say the overnight strike underscores the growing risk of a wider regional conflict
