US President-elect Donald Trump entered the Capitol Rotunda for his swearing-in ceremony shortly after Vice President-elect JD Vance.
Vance had entered the room moments earlier, greeting President Joe Biden with a handshake before proceeding to his seat.
Next, Vance was sworn into office, followed by Trump, who then delivered his inaugural address.

“I return to the presidency confident and optimistic that we are at the start of a thrilling new era of national success. A tide of change is sweeping the country,” Trump remarked in an excerpt of his prepared speech.
After his address, Trump exchanged farewells with President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
