Elizaveta Krivonogikh, the 22-year-old believed to be the secret daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has broken her silence in a series of cryptic but emotionally charged posts online.
Known publicly by the alias Luiza Rozova, the art school graduate has resurfaced on social media after years of silence.
Rozova alludes to “the man who took millions of lives and destroyed mine,” a scathing comment interpreted by many as a direct criticism of her alleged father.
While she stops short of naming Putin, the context strongly suggests the Russian leader is her target. The Proekt investigative team first revealed her identity in 2020, claiming she was the product of an affair between Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh, a former cleaner from St Petersburg who became mysteriously wealthy after Luiza’s birth.
Born on 3 March 2003 in St Petersburg, Rozova once flaunted a life of luxury until her social media footprint vanished just before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Her sudden disappearance only added fuel to the fire of speculation surrounding her ties to the Kremlin.
After graduating from the ICART School of Cultural and Art Management in Paris in June 2024, she appears to be reclaiming her voice.
“It’s liberating to be able to show my face to the world again,” she wrote in one post, accompanying a recent photo of herself in the Russian café chain Surf Coffee. “It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life.”
Previously, Rozova had gone to great lengths to obscure her appearance online, rarely sharing full photos of herself. Her recent images mark a bold departure from that habit.
Rozova laments exit from home city
In another post, she lamented her exile from her home city: “I can’t make an extra lap around my beloved St Petersburg. I can’t visit my favourite places and establishments.”
While the Kremlin has neither confirmed nor denied the allegations about Putin’s paternity, the timing of her family’s wealth and her online disappearance paint a compelling picture.
