UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has vowed the MPs would get an approval concerning proposals for British soldiers to support the implementation of any peace agreement in Ukraine.
This comes following UK and France reaffirmed their readiness to release troops to prevent Ukraine from Russia attack if a deal to end the conflict is reached.
The prime minister noted the action would be aligned to “recent practice” on the use of UK armed forces.
Whilst the administration is yet to specify the number of British military personnel to be incorporated in this move, the PM stated that it would correspond “in accordance with our military plans”.

Starmer during the Prime Minister’s Questions in Parliament said the deployment of British troops to Ukraine would be limited to deterrence roles and the protection of proposed military hubs, should a peace agreement be reached.
The United Kingdom and France on Tuesday formalised a declaration of intent to deploy troops to Ukraine, revealing plans to establish military hubs within the country.
Under the agreement, allied nations also reached an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine, while proposing that the United States should assume primary responsibility for overseeing any ceasefire.
