Boxing fans worldwide are set for a spectacle as Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to face off in an exhibition fight in spring 2026.

Tyson, 59, remains one of the sport’s most iconic heavyweights. Nicknamed “Iron Mike,” he dominated the 1980s and 1990s with ferocious knockouts, retiring with a record of 50 wins and seven losses, including 44 by stoppage.
Though long retired, Tyson returned to the ring in November 2024 against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Arlington, Texas.
He lost heavily, struggling to land clean punches, but the fight drew 70,000 fans in the arena and millions more globally, reaffirming his enduring appeal.
Mayweather, 48, offers a stark contrast. Known as “Money” and widely regarded as one of boxing’s greatest defensive fighters, he retired in 2017 with an unblemished 50-0 record.
A five-division world champion, Mayweather has since kept active with exhibitions, most recently defeating John Gotti III in Mexico in August 2024.
The prospect of Tyson’s raw aggression against Mayweather’s defensive mastery has already generated global buzz. While both men are far past their prime, their crossover appeal ensures massive interest.
