Bayern Munich have finalised an agreement with Chelsea to sign striker Nicolas Jackson on loan with a mandatory purchase clause, just hours before the summer transfer window closes.
The deal involves a €16.5 million loan fee and an obligation to buy in 2026, after Chelsea pushed for improved terms. Jackson has already agreed on a five-year contract with the German champions.

Negotiations accelerated after Chelsea recalled Sunderland loanee Marc Guiu, reopening the path for talks.
The Blues are also set to benefit from stronger terms than the earlier arrangement. A £13 million loan with an option to buy for £56.2 million —tentatively agreed over the weekend.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X: “Bayern and Chelsea seal new agreement for Nicolas Jackson deal, done! Loan + buy clause with obligation to buy included in the deal for 2026, as Chelsea wanted. Jackson has already agreed to a five-year deal at Bayern. €16.5m loan fee.”
Jackson pursued the move in search of regular game time after slipping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. Talks briefly stalled due to Liam Delap’s injury, but the Senegal international remained determined to complete the switch.
Chelsea signed Jackson from Villarreal for £32 million in 2023, amid high expectations. He scored 14 Premier League goals in 35 appearances in his debut season, netting 17 across all competitions, including a memorable hat-trick against Tottenham.

In his second campaign, he scored 10 league goals in 30 matches and played a crucial role in Chelsea’s European success, scoring in both the semi-final and final of the UEFA Conference League as the Blues lifted the trophy. By the end of 2025, he had registered 30 goals and 10 assists in 81 games, averaging a goal contribution every three matches.
Despite inconsistency and occasional disciplinary lapses, Jackson showcased pace, direct running and a sharp eye for goal.
His move to Bayern offers a fresh platform to refine his game and establish himself as one of Europe’s leading strikers.
