English pop icon Mel B, best known as Scary Spice of the legendary girl group Spice Girls, has officially tied the knot with her fiancé, hairstylist Rory McPhee, in a picturesque ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral on 5 July.
The 50 year old singer, whose full name is Melanie Brown, confirmed the nuptials by sharing the first photo from the ceremony on social media, captioned simply with the date and location. The image showed the happy couple radiating joy, surrounded by elegance and tradition in the iconic London venue.
Mel B’s three daughters, Phoenix, 26, Angel Iris, 18, and Madison, 13, served as bridesmaids, standing proudly beside their mother during the ceremony.
This marks the third marriage for the pop star. Her first marriage, to Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar, lasted from 1998 to 2000. The pair share daughter Phoenix. Following that relationship, Mel B dated actor Max Beesley and television personality Piers Morgan, before a brief but widely publicised romance with comedian Eddie Murphy, who is the biological father of her second daughter, Angel.
In 2007, she married film producer Stephen Belafonte, with whom she shares her youngest daughter, Madison. Their marriage ended in 2017 after a turbulent decade together.
Mel B began dating McPhee, now 37, in 2018, and the couple announced their engagement in October 2022. The wedding drew attention not just for its royal location but also for its emotional significance, as friends, family, and fans alike celebrated the singer’s new beginning.
The other Spice Girls, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie C, and Geri Halliwell, have yet to publicly comment, but fans are already speculating whether a mini Spice reunion occurred at the event.
Congratulations poured in from around the globe, as supporters of the iconic ‘90s group rejoiced in seeing one of their beloved members find love again.
