A former teacher, 77, has been convicted over indecent assaults on five girls at a south Belfast school in the 1970s.
The judge at Belfast Crown Court has revealed that William Lloyd-Lavery of Richmond Avenue, Lisburn is likely to get “a sentence of imprisonment”.
The former history teacher at Richmond Lodge school, was found guilty of six counts of indecent assault within the period of four years between 1975 and 1979.
The trial which lasted six days heard complaints from all six victims in the case.
The offences against Lloyd-Lavery range from grabbing pupils on the buttocks in school corridors to lifting victims and touching their genitals.

During the trial, two counts of gross indecency were withdrawn from the jury on a point of law. The jury was also directed to return a not guilty verdict on one count of indecent assault due to insufficient evidence.
Following hours of deliberations over two days, the jury of six men and six women unanimously found Lloyd-Lavery guilty on six counts of indecent assault.
The judge ordered pre-sentence reports and said Lloyd-Lavery would be placed on the sex offenders register, with the duration to be determined at sentencing.
He was released on continuing bail and is due to be sentenced on 6 March.
