The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has released N19.7 million to 217 students at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The loan, according to the financial body, was targeted at assisting students in tertiary institutions to cover their educational expenses.
In a letter, dated 9th February 2026 and addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of NELFUND, Dr Ibraheem Abdul, the Rector of YABATECH, acknowledged the disbursement of N19,765,225 to 217 students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
He stated that the funding would aid the students in the progression of their education and the attainment of their educational aspirations.
The institution assured the Fund that the money would be effectively used to render financial assistance to eligible students.
YABATECH then expressed gratitude for the timely disbursement and lauded NELFUND for its commitment in supporting educational opportunities through the Students Loan Programme.
